Cold November

We’re undergoing an unusually cold spell for the time of year: not (yet) the heavy snowfalls that parts of the UK have experienced, but daytime temperatures below freezing (-3C was the best we managed today). Small birds are specially at risk, and – along with providing plenty of bird food – I’m doing my best to ensure the bird-bath isn’t completely frozen
Bluetit (Parus caeruleus)
