Bird-table rook

This rook is now a regular visitor, hanging from the fat-ball feeder (I nearly said “like a bluetit”, but that’s a bit of a stretch of the imagination). Rooks are intelligent – recent research suggests they are as good at using tools as chimpanzees, and I don’t suppose this one is the first to discover fat-balls, so I guess the question is why this one – and why only one, not the whole flock?
