Flying ant day

According to Wikipedia, flying ant day is when queen ants take to the wing to mate and start new colonies. Because they do so in response to environmental conditions, this happens in many colonies simultaneously, and in East Hagbourne (which seems to be one big ant-nest), today the air is full of flying ants. Some (In fact most) won’t succeed in their quest, because they are caught by predators – this one is stuck in a cobweb, though there’s no sign of the spider.
