
Blackcaps are most commonly summer visitors to the UK, but it seems that milder winters over the last few years have encouraged them to stay here for the winter, gaining an advantage by being here before the migrants arrive.

Hi there, just came across your blog post and wanted to say we saw a black cap in our garden in Ixworth, Suffolk last week. It was great to see as it was the first time i’ve seen one and even moreso when they are usually here in the summertime. I hope to see them visiting our garden again
